Attitudes Towards Feminism

Informed Consent

This study assesses attitudes towards "feminists" and "traditionalists." You will complete a measure called the "Implicit Attitude Test" (IAT), which assesses nonconscious dimensions of attitudes. This will be followed by a brief survey, and the entire experiment takes about 15 minutes to complete. Please note that your bowser may prompt you to download and install the Macromedia Authorware Web Player plugin. This is necessary for your browser to display the IAT, and be assured that Macromedia is a trusted source.

This study is being conducted by Jessica Jenen and Kristopher Schuster under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Arkkelin (daniel.arkkelin@valpo.edu) and Dr. Jennifer Winquist(Jennifer.Winquist@valpo.edu) of the Valparaiso University Psychology Department, and has been approved by the Valparaiso University Institutional Review Board (contact person: Theresa.Kessler@valpo.edu) . By continuing, you indicate that you understand that your participation is voluntary, your responses will be anonymous, and that you are free to withdraw at any time without penalty. There are no anticipated risks involved with taking this study. Participants may benefit from a greater insight into their own views on feminism. You must be 18 years old to participate.
